ITS ALMOST HERE!!!
Starting September 1 we plan to start “30 More Days of Prayer”
Almost a year ago we did what we called 30 days of Prayer. We asked you to be involved for 30 days in which we would we studying prayer though the book of Acts and praying for specific and general prayer requests. As we posted last year at the end of the 30 days last year, we had an average of about 8 visits per day to the blog plus there were some that we receiving hard copy paper updates that were distributed by others who felt the study and requests were important to pass on to those without computer savy or access.
As I have recently been preparing for an other 30 days and considering what we would like to see, I have been struck by some thoughts. The number of people that we have contacts with here in Slovenia ... I mean really good relationships and opportunities to witness... is roughly similar to the involvement in last years 30 days. Of course, we have many contacts with people and have enjoyed many opportunities over the past year - far greater than just 8-15 people - but the closest relationships that we have and the best opportunities to share into and build into peoples lives is roughly equal to the number of people that participated in our previous 30 days.
Now prayer is a powerful tool and we hopefully don’t underestimate its power or its influence. We know that the “fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much” and is not limited to 1:1 ratios. The prayer of one can affect thousands and many more, however, we do also know that God tells His people to call out to Him We desire these cries of faith and ask you to consider being involved in the upcoming 30 days.
We would love to see this year grow to 40-50 people being a faithful part of these 30 days. So we ask you to consider if you will make a commitment (not to us but to God) to participate faithfully. We are planning to look at Prayers of the Bible. We will see what, when, how, etc. people in the Bible prayed and what happened when they did. Then we will have one or two requests each day to pray over - and of course you could pray again for the previous days as well.
So how can you get involved? Send us an email telling us of your intent to participate. Tell us if you would prefer being on an email list to receive the Bible study and requests or will be visiting the online blog each day.
